Product Description

You bought a swimming pool to have fun - not to give yourself more work. Maybe you find yourself spending time cleaning the pool instead of swimming and enjoying it. Or maybe you bought one of those pool cleaners that work off your pool filtration system. Because your aboveground pool filtration system was only designed to filter your pool water and not to vacuum and clean your pool floor, you may have noticed that the filtration system doesn't do a very good job and requires constant cleaning. Besides, those bulky hoses get tangled; you've got to drag them out of storage, hook them up to the intake valve, and the cleaners tend to get stuck on the ladders, stairs, seams, drains and footprints. Making matters worse, they're noisy and their wearable parts add up. Get yourself a Pool Rover Jr. today and enjoy complete, effortless pool cleaning at the touch of a button! POOL ROVER Jr. WORKS WITHOUT THE HASSLE OF HOSES & OFFERS YOU SO MUCH MORE. * Just drop your lightweight Pool Rover Jr. in your pool and push a button. It's that easy. * Jet-propelled" to systematically clean the flat-bottomed floors of 24' diameter pools in as little as 30 minutes. * Self-contained with its own internal pump and filtration system, so it vacuums and filters without hoses! * It removes everything from large leaves to algae as small as 2 microns with its easy to clean, reusable state-of-the-art filter bag. * Actually pays for itself by reducing chemical, water and energy costs by as much as 50%! * Proven long life and low maintenance, Pool Rover Jr. will serve you well for many years. * Has a guidance system that's easy to set and will clean any shape aboveground pool. * Extra-wide non-marring wheels allow it to roll over ripples and deep footprints in pool bottoms. * Its Patented E-Z Swivel Device ensures a tangle-free cable. * Works without the familiar wear and tear parts found on all other aboveground cleaners saving you even more money.

Reviewer: Roger,
I have had nothing but trouble with this product. I have been on the phone to the 800 number 4 or 5 times. It is not as advertised. They admitted it is not the motor on the box or in the directions, They are using up the old boxes and directions but they changed the motor. It does not clean the pool as it says.
Best money invested in an auto pool cleaner

I've read the mixed reviews and wanted to share my experience with Rover. This is our second season with him, and I don't know what I would do with Rover. We bought him last year, first time pool/house owners and the pool was filled with algae and tons of stuff. Rover worked overtime, and got Everything out. Yes, his bag filled up, but the condition to the pool was not so good. We used him regularly and cleaned him after each use, following directions. We use to have a DE filter which broke and spit the powder all out in the pool.... yup Rover cleaned it all up for us. In the fall we had acorns all in the pool... yup again Rover picked up the big leaves and all the acorns, and I mean he had like 50 of them in his bag at a single time. It looked so funny emptying them out! But, he got the job done, with the solar cover even on top of the pool he works under it.

I find it great that you can just drop him in, set him to go, and come back in 2 hours and all done.... sooo easy! This year we opened our pool and once again Rover to the rescue for tree leaves and sticks and such from whatever storms we have had and normal debrie that falls into the pool. We have an above ground pool 18". His bag and the unit itself are in perfect condition. We had no problems with him at all, and again don't know what we would do with out one. If he ever broke I would not hesitate to buy again.
best money ever spent !!

i can't tell you the last time i spent $300
and was glad i did !!
this junior rover is perfect for above ground pools.
it does what it says it will.
cleans within an hour !!
it will stop if dirty or runs into a twig.
i used it at pool opening earlier this year.
took a couple of hours, however, the pool was sparkling and ready to go,
even if it was COLD.
inside, is like a polyester "diaper". just unsnap the bottom, pull the cloth off, spray it off, and put back.

i don't let my pool get dirty, so i don't have a problem with the cloth diaper getting full.

but, i do wash it out after every use. ( my neighbor used it while we were on vacation and didn't wash it out.
we had grass growing in it when i pulled it out next time. )

read the instructions.
i keep mine set on 30.
the reset button takes care of itself.
check on it periodically because the cord will tangle. it is like neoprene.
no biggie. it sure beats the ole vaccuum in the pool sweeper !!
absolutely love it !!!!

Not worth the money

This looks like a decent unit but it doesn't clean all that well and it is a pain to clean. It works quickly and picks up the big stuff but it does not pick up the dust and dirt on the bottom very well. The bag fills up fast and the unit stops working quickly when the bag gets full. It definitely doesn't clean as well as the Dolphin Robo-Clean but I've had two Robo-Cleans and they both broke after a few years. Looks like there isn't much you can buy with regard to a robotic pool cleaner that works well and is reliable for around $325.

Bottom line.. This is not a good product for the money.
Jr does a Junior job!

I bought this product to help clean up the pool when opening it this season. It does not seem like a $300 product but all pool products seem overpriced. I was hoping it would suck up the algae that settled on the bottom of the pool over the winter but it didn't make it 5 feet before it got clogged. It didn't even suck up the algae in that 5 feet! The bag is a thick cloth bag so it gets clogged really quick. I think it may be useful if your pool is already clean and you get a little debris on the bottom. For $300, I expected it to at least make it a couple of passes before it stopped and needed to be cleaned. Don't buy this product if you think it will help open your pool this season... We'll see how it is over the summer as a maintenance cleaner...
